My Story.

What began in the art room of West Geauga High School, has blossomed into a diverse array of art classes and workshops hosted by me, Brittany S Paynter. Irene Sukle was my mentor and teacher for four years, and her knowledge of art techniques, mediums, and possibilities was endless. She made all of that knowledge openly available to her students, and I couldn't get enough. Following graduation, Irene tragically passed away due to cancer. I went on to pursue a BFA at Wright State University, and returned to Northeast Ohio to figure out my adult life.

What I'm doing now. In 2019, established Creative Spirit Studios and I have been working as a professional artist selling my work, teaching classes, and taking commissioned painting orders since. I've served on the Geauga Arts Council Board since July 2020. And recently, I joined forces with the Chardon Recreation Department to offer approachable art classes to everyone around Chardon, OH, ages 5 to 99!
