We took one of our best venues and made it even better by splitting it in two! The Wembley Club in Chagrin Falls has recently completed renovations to their lower level, and asked us to expand the Geauga Arts Council art installations to span both floors. Of course we loved this idea, and for the last three months our artist member, Sarah Komaromy has featured her nature and Northeast Ohio-inspired photography in both floors. Club members and visitors can view a portion of Sarah's work along the halls in the Lower Level.
If you're in the area, visit the family friendly sports club located at 8345 Woodberry Blvd, Chagrin Falls, OH.
Today we exchanged the art in the Upper Level for the mixed media pieces created by visual artist Evelyn "Kay" Hendricks. Her work ranges from colored pencil, to watercolor, to acrylic and even collage. Every piece is unique in subject matter and execution. When visiting the Club, you can see Kay's work in the lounge just beyond the entrance lobby, as well as down the hall to the left of the entrance.
Thank you to Dave Cvelbar, our Exhibit Director and his team of volunteers for making our local venues stand out with these rotating displays of original artwork. If you'd like to apply to show your work at one of our venues, you can do so here. (This opportunity is only available to active members of the Geauga Arts Council, so become a member today!). Be sure to stop in and see this display before it ends on April 24, 2023. Learn more about this venue on their website: https://web.wembleyclub.com/
