Meet the Artist: Debbi Homola

Textural and abstract, vibrant and enticing.

Debbi Homola from Novelty is fairly new to Ohio, having lived most of her life in the midwest states of Kansas and Missouri. After almost 20 years as a glass artist, she now enjoys creating intuitive, abstract acrylic paintings, some inspired by the beauty of the surrounding nature, trees and woods of Northeast Ohio. Debbi creates paintings that invite the viewer to visually explore the piece to experience textures, multiple layers and discover little surprises throughout the canvas. Among others, Debbi has exhibited at the Valley Art Center, MC Art Studio, Fairmount Art Center, Geauga County Arts Council and Gates Mills.

Debbi was awarded Second Place in the Artists to Watch Competition, held by Artists Magazine in 2022 for her abstract paintings.

She was featured in our local venue at UH Geauga Medical Center August 7 - October 23, 2023.
