Textured oil paints become serene landscapes

"I began painting during my time at Cooper School of Art in Cleveland. Using
acrylics, I produced very large abstracts with punchy color, contrast and texture. Emotion and
art are one and the same for him. Each painting takes on its own personality and story. Good
art should move the viewer. Make them imagine, dream, escape or feel good even if just for a moment.
Most of my work is from the south of France. Specifically, Provence. I have painted and photographed the region 12 times now and each time I visit, I feel I'm home again. The age and beauty of the stone homes and rolling countryside pull me back every year.
Painting makes me happy. It takes me somewhere that I'd probably rather be. Sun, grass, trees, blue skies and those gorgeous olive trees. A painter's dream. It has been a wonderful experience to travel, photograph and paint as much as I am called to do.
Thank you for your interest in my work."
